- Improving the quality of care and support for people with dementia and their carers is a priority of the Oldham Health and Well Being Strategy.
In line with the National Dementia Strategy and the recommendations of the recent Oldham Dementia Needs Assessment, Oldham Clinical Commissioning Group and Oldham Council are investing a total of £400k additional funing in an enhanced Memory Service which aims to:- Improve the early identification and accurate diagnosis of people who are suspected of having dementia
- Support people with dementia and their family/carers to come to terms with the diagnosis, plan for their future and to continue to live well
