CUE Ltd has successfully secured funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) for the delivery of the Eco Business West Midlands Project (the Project). The Project will support businesses within the West Midlands to access environmental advice and mentoring, funding and expertise to help improve their processes and product development and take advantage of new opportunities legislation, whilst at the same time enabling them to cut costs and achieve significant savings by optimising their use of raw materials, transport, water and energy, and rationalising and recycling packaging. Reducing the volume and toxicity of waste, used water and air emissions not only reduces waste management costs but also improve the environment. As a result, SMEs will gain economic and managerial benefits along with improved public relations. Where relevant, the project will also enable SMEs to take advantage of the commercial/growth opportunities of providing more environmentally friendly products and services. As a result, the Project will support job safeguarding, job creation, enhanced productivity, enhanced revenue generation and increased competitiveness.
