Nottinghamshire County Council wishes to appoint a partner or partners to operate and develop its network of children’s centres. The Council’s vision for its children’s centres is that “All children, young people and their families will have the opportunity to fulfil their potential by having the best start in life, and will have access to services when and where they need them most”.
There is a network of 58 children’s centres across Nottinghamshire, offering integrated, multi agency support services to families with children under 5 years. The Council is committed to retaining this network. An enhanced delivery offer has been developed, for implementation from April 2012, to extend the support children’s centres offer to families with children aged up to 12 years. The Council’s enhanced offer will also ensure that centres, whilst retaining universal provision, will place a continuing focus on improving outcomes for the most disadvantaged young children and their families.
The successful partner/s will be required to deliver and further develop the enhanced core offer, and work closely with the Council and its partners to maximise innovation and develop best practice across the network. The successful partner will operate within an outcomes led contractual arrangement.
