Conwy County Borough Council, in accordance with Section 22 of the Childcare Act 2006, wish to invite Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified Service Providers for the performance of the following contract:
Conwy County Borough Council has a statutory duty to ensure that sufficient childcare is provided to meet the demands of parents. The Childcare Act requires Local Authorities to shape and support the development of childcare provision in the local areas.
The intention is to ensure that parents are able to access childcare locally that meets their needs and that the childcare available is sufficient, sustainable and flexible.
In response to this, we are looking to procure a development and support service to work with out of school childcare providers both existing and those hoping to set up new provision. The aim is to provide an affordable and flexible childcare choice for those working, training or hoping to return to work.
Providers must be registered with CSSIW.
The contract will be awarded for 3 years with an option to extend (subject to continued funding) with an anticipated start date of 1.4.2013.
The tender process will follow the restricted procedure.
The Pre-Qaulification Questionnaire (PQQ) will be evaluated on the basis of: Financial appraisal, previous experience, commercial aspects, quality assurance methods, policies and procedures. Companies will be short-listed to the second stage, Invitation to Tender, following evaluation of the above criteria.
