NHS GG&C PAINTING CONTRACTORS FRAMEWORK

INTRODUCTION & OUTLINE SPECIFICATION BRIEFING

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (GG&C) require suitably qualified and experienced Painting contractors to undertake Painting Contracting through framework agreements for five geographical lots (including Partnerships):

Lot 1: Glasgow South & South Lanarkshire

Lot 2: Glasgow North & East Dunbartonshire

Lot 3: Clyde (West Dunbartonshire)

Lot 4: Clyde (Renfrewshire)

Lot 5: Clyde (Inverclyde)

The key services being sought are planned and routine maintenance works. In addition, emergency repair and/or maintenance works may also need to be carried out.

The successful contractors will be expected to support NHS GG&C through the delivery of a comprehensive and demanding package of services.

Work may be procured through this framework by various sections of NHS GG&C’s Estates Departments.

Various programmes or orders may run concurrently and may involve the contractor liaising with more than one member of one or more Estates departments. The contractor may also work alongside other trades and contractors, which will be arranged in advance by Estates.

The total spend for this framework is estimated to be approximately GBP650K per annum, across the 5 lots.

The following is a guide to recent annual Painting activity that has taken place in NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. Please note that these figures represent generic ‘Painting’ spend and are to be used simply as a guide.

Lot 1: Glasgow South & South Lanarkshire: GBP200K

Lot 2: Glasgow North & East Dunbartonshire: GBP225K

Lot 3: Clyde (West Dunbartonshire): GBP60K

Lot 4: Clyde (Renfrewshire): GBP30K

Lot 5: Clyde (Inverclyde): GBP120K

A maximum of 6 bidders may be taken through for each lot from the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) stage to be considered for the Invitation to Tender (ITT).
