The service would be required for a number of regular routes that would usually be contracted annually and a number of other routes on an ad-hoc basis.

Lewisham plans to evaluate the responding organisations as to their ability to meet the requirements of the specification, and to nominate successful companies to price the annually contracted routes, when details become available in July. Ad-hoc routes will be awarded as the result of mini-competitions with those companies that are able to provide the requiste service.
