However, whilst a degree of location and communication mode flexibility can sometimes be accommodated by UMIP, each year a number of important meetings arise where attendance at our premises is mandatory and at short notice. The number of such urgent meetings required between UMIP, inventors and patent agents within two hours notice is approximately eight per annum. The number of meetings required between UMIP, inventors and patent agents within 24 to 48 hours is approximately twenty per annum. Additional meetings are arranged at mutually convenient times and can accommodate greater flexibility.
Ability to develop and foster excellent relations with all relevant UMIP personnel to such an extent that the firm will, to all intents and purposes, act as an extension to our in-house team. Firms will be expected to commit to spending time at our location on a flexible basis as mutually agreed, and to provide added value services such as training events, alerts and updates, and seminars from time to time.
