This project is being commissioned by the Greater Manchester collaboration of Stockport, Wigan & Trafford Councils, locally known as ‘SWiTch’, to support them in clarifying their shared service vision and design of our shared service vehicle and the means by which it can provide services to the constituent authorities and other customers which would be effective from Summer 2012.
By the end of the project, we require that all 3 partners have an agreed vision of what the SWiTch shared service will look like and by when, and this will be underpinned by:
•             A review of delivery model options and appraisal of the best fit for SWiTch
•             A SMART implementation plan for the chosen option
•             Comprehensive risk log and mitigation plan
•             Specific legal advice on governance to facilitate the chosen Shared Service structure
•             A costed resource plan to support implementation
•             Stakeholder engagement activities to support option appraisal,  selection and implementation considerations
