The intent of the competition is to appoint 3 consultants through 3 contracts to deliver the A9 Dualling between Perth and Inverness. The scope of each contract will include the design, statutory procedures and construction supervision.
Corresponding with the 3 contracts, the route is intended to be split into three geographical sections for the delivery of design, statutory procedures and construction supervision, namely:
1. Glen Garry to Dalraddy;
2. Birnam to Glen Garry;
3. Dalraddy to Inverness.
It is the intention as part of the proposed procurement competition for the Route to appoint a separate multi-disciplinary consultant to deliver the services for each of the 3 contracts.
The order of sequence of the tender competitions for the 3 contracts is intended to be:
First – Lot 1 – Glen Garry to Dalraddy;
Second – Lot 2 – Birnam to Glen Garry;
Last – Lot 3 – Dalraddy to Inverness.
