Plymouth City Council working to promote services to Children and Young People with complex health needs, have identified the need for services supporting Parents and Carers to meet the needs of their Children with complex disabilities: whilst providing flexible breaks for Parents and Carers.
This tender is for a framework contract and individual care packages will be spot purchased against this framework.

The Service will be designed specifically around the needs of individual disabled Children and Young People and the overall aim is to support them in developing skills which will enable them to participate more fully in the community.
The features of the Domiciliary Care Service may include, but not be limited to, the following:
— Personal care
— Short Breaks for parents
— Short term care of siblings to allow parental care of child with disabilities
— Domiciliary support (Home Help) – such as cooking, cleaning, ironing, shopping, etc. The demand for this type of support is likely to be limited.
