East Ayrshire Council seek a Service Provider to carry out a programme of testing of portable and fixed appliances throughout the Council’s premises, including corporate and educational locations, and premises operated by the East Ayrshire Leisure Trust. The service will include repairing faulty equipment where practical, i.e. plug, fuse and cable replacement.
The Contract is for a period of 3 years with the option to extend for up to a further 2 years at the sole discretion of the Council.

Service Provider’s staff should have completed the City & Guilds Electrical Equipment Maintenance and Testing 2377 – 22 training as a minimum.
III.1.2) Economic and financial standing
List and brief description of selection criteria:
The bidder confirms they already have or can commit to obtain, prior to the commencement of the contract, the levels of insurance cover indicated below:
Professional Risk Indemnity: Minimum 5 million GBP cover from the commencement of the contract and for 5 years from the date of the end of the contract.
Employer’s (Compulsory) Liability: Minimum 10 million GBP cover for any one separate incident, whether injury or damage to persons or to property.
Public/Products Liability: Minimum 5 million GBP cover for any one separate incident, whether injury or damage to persons or to property.
III.1.3) Technical and professional ability
List and brief description of selection criteria:
Bidders will be required to provide 2 examples of similar services carried out in the past three years that demonstrate that they have the relevant experience to deliver the work as described in part II.2.4 of this Contract Notice. The examples provided must be of a similar value, size and scope.
Bidders must be able to provide satisfactory references the examples of previous experience provided on request.
Service Provider’s staff should have completed the City & Guilds Electrical Equipment Maintenance and Testing 2377 – 22 training as a minimum.
