Description of the contract

This requirement is for the provision of a media evaluation and daily newspaper / media clippings service for the Ministry of Defence. The Contractor shall monitor national and regional newspapers, professional and trade journals, websites, radio and television stations, employing up to a maximum of 15 pre-agreed key word groups to identify issues in the media relating to the Defence Medical Services. Items identified as relevant to the key word groups shall be provided to the nominated point of contact in the Defence Medical Services Department on a daily basis. A quarterly summary and annual report is to be provided to the Authority providing a full analysis (including public perception) of the media activity for the relevant period. A maximum of five companies shall be invited to tender. If more than five companies express an interest then companies shall be selected on the basis of their response to the criteria set out below with criteria scored as follows. Evidence to support the criteria shall accompany the company registration of interest and be sent to the address as at Section 2 above. a) Evidence that the organisation can provide the range of media coverage required, including details of current public and private contracts. 50 points (50%) b) Evidence of ability to deliver a quarterly report that accurately reflects public perception. 25 points (25%) c) Evidence to support the delivery of the cuttings to HQSG on a daily basis. 25 points (25%)
