Lancashire County Council is seeking to procure the provision of a facility for the acceptance and composting of green waste (excluding kitchen waste) from household waste recycling centres located in East Lancashire. In addition, subject to participation of the Waste Collection Authorities in East Lancashire, services for the acceptance and composting of Green Waste (excluding Kitchen Waste) from kerbside collections and the cleansing of public highways, public parks and like areas.

The contract is to provide a facility to accept and compost Green Waste from operators of:
1. Household Waste Recycling Centres; and
2. Kerbside collections and the cleansing of public highways, public parks and like areas;
Located within the East of the Administrative County of Lancashire.
The capacity required will be determined during each year of the contract by Lancashire County Council estimating its requirements but no minimum volumes are guaranteed. The County Council wishes to appoint one provider to supply the services. The ITT provides further details.
