West Essex Clinical Commissioning Group wishes to commission a Primary Care Psychological Therapies (PCPT) Service.
The successful contractor shall provide Primary Care Psychological Therapies (PCPT) Services to all adults, including older adults, registered permanently or temporarily with a West Essex GP or living in West Essex, whether homeless or not and shall not discriminate on the basis of age, gender, race, religion/belief, sexual orientation or disability.
The successful contractor shall provide NICE approved Primary Care Psychological Services for service users In line with NICE Guidelines as part of the IAPT Primary Care Stepped Model. The PCPT IAPT Services shall comprise 3 Components, which constitute:
(a) Component 1: Provide a core IAPT compliant primary care step care model and continue the integration of Mental Health Care Clusters 1—4 from secondary care;
(b) Component 2: The possible phased integration of other Mental Health Care Clusters currently being treated within secondary care. The provider should be able to work with people who may be clustered into higher clusters e.g. clusters 5 and 6. This is yet to be agreed by the commissioners;
(c) Component 3: The development of a Primary Care Mental Health Liaison service.
