The intended works comprise the construction of the first phase allowing the existing hospital buildings to continue to provide ongoing healthcare. The new hospital building (Ambulatory Care Centre) will comprise the following departments:
Ambulatory Cancer Unit;
Support Services to Medical Care.
The scheme will also comprise a new multi-story car park, a new energy centre and associated general site works.
The estimated construction budget is £16m excluding VAT and professional fees.
The Trust wishes to appoint a principal contractor to build the project. It is anticipated that the contact of appointment will be the JCT Standard Building Contract following the completion and acceptance of a two stage tender.
