Due to the diverse range and quantity of printed material, we require a print management company that has access to all the different type of print from litho, digital, promotional printing, mailing to distribution and warehouse storage.
We require the Print Management provider to have an established Web2Print solution for ordering all templated print requirements so can help reduce costs and wastage as well as maintaining brand consistency. This is a minimum requirement. Call off stock like business forms and letterheads will be via an online ordering system which would have full reporting capability.
The Print Management company will need to have sufficient storage / warehouse capacity for call off orders, and be able to distribute on a national basis within a specified timescale.
The length of the agreement is 3 years with an option to extend for a further 1 year.
Indicative spend is 430 000 GBP per annum.
Estimated value excluding VAT: 1 720 000 GBP
Description of these options: Option to extend for a further one year subject to annual performance reviews. Contract will be 3 years + 1 year.
Section III: Legal, economic, financial and technical information
Description of particular conditions: Under the contract the service provider and its supply chain will be required to participate in the acheivement of social and/or environmental policy objectives relating to recruitment and training and supply chain inititiatives. Accordingly the contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerationsto be detailed in the contract documents.
Minimum level(s) of standards possibly required: AS set out in the prequalification questionnaire.
Applicants will be required to complete a prequalification questionnaire consisten with the provisions of Directive 2004/18/EC. The questionnaire is available from the address set out in I.1 above and must be returned by the date stipulated in IV.3.4.

Additional information about electronic auction: Places for People will include a reverse eAuction as part of the quantative evaluation.

The Contracting Authority intends to use an eTendering system in this procurement exercise. Expressions of interest and requests for additional information should be emailed to print.management@placesforpeople.co.uk before 12:00pm on Monday 13.8.2012. Please provide the following contact details- lead name, phone, email address and postal address. Applicants will then receive a login to Ariba Sourcing and will be able to view and download tender documents, additional information and submit tender responses. PQQ responses should be submitted online using Ariba Sourcing no later than 12:00pm on Wednesday 15.8.2012. The email must be headed “PQQ – Print Management”. Please note: A Prequalification Questionnaire must be requested and completed. The closing date for requesting a PQQ is Monday 13.8.2012. Fully completed and returned PQQs will be used to select those firms invited to the next stage of the process. There is no guarantee that any organisation will be awarded services under the public contract and the Contracting Authority reserves the right not to award part or part of the services only. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to cancel the procurement and not to proceed with the award of any contract at any stage of the procurement process and/or to award only part or parts of any contract.
Same for any mandatory periods, the timescales indicated in this notice are approximate and the Contracting Authority reserved the right to amend the same.
