The provider’s staff would work alongside a Probation member of staff at night, and (for Thames Valley only) also during the day. Cover is required 365 days/year and the provider would need to ensure that there are robust systems in place to cover leave and other absences. The provider will need to employ staff who are able to demonstrate that they can work with offenders in a challenging environment and also be able to support these staff through an out of hours duty manager system.
