This contract is for the haulage, processing, sorting and sale of co-mingled dry recycling materials collected by Tewkesbury Borough Council from approx. 37 000 households. The dry recyclables collected include, but are not limited to, paper, card, cardboard, aluminium and steel cans, mixed glass, cartons, mixed household plastics and plastic bottles. The same materials are also collected from bring bank sites across the borough. This contract requires:

II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:
The contract is for the haulage, processing, sorting and sale of co-mingled dry recyclable materials collected by Tewkesbury Borough Council via it’s kerbside collection service. The contract is for approx. 10 000 tonnes of co-minglesd dry recyclables per annum. The contract term is a maximum of 3 years plus two one year extensions. The estimated value is GBP 2,23 million. For the avoidance of doubt this estimated value is based on a 36 month period. The figure has been calculated using a reasonable estimate of the value of the sorted dry recycling materials based on current material values plus the estimated current costs of transporting material from the council’s bulking centre.

Economic operators must submit completed pre-qualification questionnaires in accordance with the instructions set out in the pre-qualification pack by 14:00 on 25.10.2013.
