The Council has annual revenue expenditure of c. 17 m GBP and capital expenditure of c 5 m GBP. Much of this is contracted expenditure or has been subject to the Council’s own tender processes. It is estimated that c 5 m GBP p.a. of expenditure could be targeted to generate savings and this is spread over c 2 000 suppliers.
