Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council’s Procurement and Performance Team will take participants through the stages of the procurement process for Basingstoke and Deane. This workshop will explain the different procurement processes that can be used; what the EU procurement directives are and the implications of these; where adverts for expressions of interest are placed and how you can register for automatic alerts; how a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) works as this is the first challenge that everyone must overcome if you want to tender for the specified service; how PQQ’s are used to identify the most suitable supplier’s to invite to tender(ITT) for contracts; what to consider when looking at a Tender document; what criteria may be assessed using a scoring mechanism within the tender; understanding any conditions that are associated with the tender because if you are successful with the tender this becomes a legal document. This workshop will show you what a typical tender document looks like and you will also be given you ten ‘top tips’ of how to sell to local authorities.
