Description of the contract
Arts Council England is looking to contract a Programme Manager for the Big Dance Bus Tour that will take place from 18 May 2012-15 July 2012. Big Dance is a campaign to promote dance in all its forms and to increase and sustain participation in physical activity in London in the lead up to the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012. The Programme Manager will be required to lead and co-ordinate the Big Dance Bus Tour across London. Areas of responsibility include: • Providing support on the brief, tender process and contracting of a bus supplier – closely adhering to Arts Council England’s procurement policies. • Lead on programming local showcases (with support from Big Dance Hubs/Local Authorities) • Lead on recruiting volunteers for the Big Dance Bus programme • Recruitment and management of Big Dance Bus dancers and workshop leaders • Day-to-day management of Big Dance Bus Tour • Risk Assessment and Health & Safety • Lead on insurance and licensing • Manage relationship with key partners and stakeholders • Monitoring, data capture and reporting • Support the development of an application to the Big Lottery Fund • Support fundraising applications and bids • Work with high profile media partners • Developing evaluation and monitoring programme with GLA/ACE/Hubs. The programme manager will have: • previous dance programme management experience • previous experience of working with a range of partners and stakeholders • previous experience of tendering and contract management • previous experience of dealing with health & safety, risk management, insurance and licensing • knowledge of policy on arts and health agendas and active communities an understanding of the broader equalities and access issues in relation to disability
