The Museum is seeking to appoint a project management service across all Masterplan projects. As well as the standard scope of Project Management Services (RIBA 2013), the successful tender must be able to demonstrate a high level of service, and bring outstanding levels of relevant experience and personnel.
We are appointing a service across all live Masterplan projects in order to enable the service provider to take a holistic and well integrated view of the overall programme. This will include advising the Museum on procurement routes, programme risk and opportunities as well as working alongside us to plan and mitigate the impact of this programme of works to staff and visitors and maximise efficiencies on all aspects of design, management and construction.
Estimated value excluding VAT:
Range: between 800 000 and 1 000 000 GBP

Justification for the choice of accelerated procedure: The Science Museum had hoped to run a mini competition with the Crown Commercial Service Framework — Project Management and Full Design Team Services (RM1039). Having waited for this to be awarded and repeated delays with no indication of likely award date, the Science Museum now have an urgent requirement that we need to publish via the accelerated procedure.
