The building will become the new place of operation of the Birmingham Assay Office.
The Employer has appointed a design team and planning consent for the scheme has been obtained (Application No. 2012/06674/PA to Birmingham City Council).
The construction works will be tendered on a “design and build” basis and the Architect and Structural/Civil Engineer will be novated to the appointed Contractor.
The project is intended to be part-funded by a European Regional Development Fund grant, under application reference 2012/003924.
