Services are required to carry out Condition Surveys including Mechanical and Electrical and CAD drawings on the whole Corporate Property Portfolio, which comprises of circa 300 properties varying in size up to 30 000 m² over an area of approximately 168 square miles.
The purpose of the survey is collecting information on the condition of the Corporate Property Building Portfolio in order to improve the management of the Authority’s building stock (excluding housing) through a process of property review and remedial works. It is mandatory that the information is to be collected in a format that will integrate with the Corporate Asset Management Software used by the Authority, which is Technology Forge, including CAD integration. Ideally, FCC would want the new service provider to have a Tf licence so that remote access can be provided to them for downloading purposes directly into our Tf Software.
All Condition Surveys will be undertaken by a multi-disciplinary team of qualified and experienced Building Surveyors, Electrical & Mechanical Engineers and CAD Specialists.
The successful Consultant needs to show evidence of membership to an appropriate recognised Professional Body for all Building and M&E Surveys. The Consultant must be able to demonstrate suitable training and competence of all personnel used in this contract. Building and Engineering Surveyors are required to possess at least five years post training experience to conduct the work. It is a mandatory requirement that the Surveyors and Engineers are managed by Chartered Building and Engineering Professionals respectively. All survey estimates for work must be in accordance with current BICS prices.
