Description of the goods or services requiredThe Council has a requirement to procure a European Computer Driving Licence Training Provider for its Modern Apprentices to undertake as part of their training programme. The Council takes on up to 150 Modern Apprentices’ every year and provides them with the opportunity to achieve nationally recognised qualifications through a combination of work experience and training. Following sucessful completion of this training programme, students will achieve a nationally recognised ECDL qualification. The Council requires an ECDL Training Provider for up to 150 Modern Apprentices per annum. The following points detail the requirements of the ECDL programme. . Specification – Course Details Full ECDL at Level 5 for Syllabus 5 Certification for Microsoft Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2007. Should the Council upgrade it’s computer software the sucessful tenderer shall have the ability to amend their training programme to reflect any potential upgrade. Trainee Registration and Certification through BCS. Training to be delivered at provider’s premises on a group basis of no more than 10 trainees. Each ECDL course shall cover the induction and assessments/tests for all 7 untis of the course. Course units shall be operated on a day-release basis with each day/unit being at approximately 4-weekly intervals. Appropriate web fronted Virtual SCORM compliant Learning materials to be available to trainees prior to course commencement. Compatible browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari. Blended format comprising of online learning materials/tutor led workshops/plenary discussions etc. Thus meeting all trainees learning styles. Suitable support programs/aids readily available for trainees who need e.g. text to speech/VI software such as Jaws/Zoom text, large print handouts and large print examinations for manual testing. Facilitation needed for individuals who are absent and or needing to repeat a day or exams due to failing etc. Manual testing format as standard. Capability to carry out automated testing. Evaluation and feedback tools in place and used effectively and regularly to identify and implement improvements to quality of delivery as required. Project team to meet on a quarterly basis to discuss improvements or issues. Group & Trainee reports to be made available in Microsoft Excel format and should be sent after every test detailing the outcome for each trainee e.g. pass or fail. . The Council reserves the right to extend this for a period of one (1) year until 25 August 2017. .
