Description

The Council currently owns a number of disparate
traffic databases. This contract is to provide a
single repository which would enable this data to
be collated.

The system must be telemetry enabled (GSM and
GPRS), able to handle a constant stream of data
coming from in excess of 250 inductive loop sites
and accept telemetry from all types of Automatic
Traffic Count (ATC) equipment.

The system must be browser based allowing
multiple users to access the data remotely and
securely. Any maps produced would need to be
based on the OS map base.

The system must fully replace the functionality of
the Council’s existing Tara database for storing
manual classified counts.

The software must have the functionality to
analyse journey time data as well as having the
capability to house and interpret environmental
data such as Air Quality.

The system must include a comprehensive data
backup
and recovery process.
