The successful Tenderer must have implemented and manage security in accordance with a security and information assurance framework such as ISO27001 or equivalent (as notified to the Authority).
— The Tenderer must be accredited to Government Security standard IL3/IL4 or equivalent,
— The Tenderer shall at all times ensure that the level of security employed in the provision of the services is appropriate to prevent, or where a breach occurs, detect the,
— loss of integrity of personal information,
— loss of confidentiality of personal information,
— unauthorised access to, use of, or interference with personal information by any person or organisation,
— The successful Tenderer must use an appropriate encryption mechanism certified to the Federal Information Processing Standard Publication 140-2 (“FIPS 140-2”) for,
— any externally transmitted personal information,
— Any removable media containing personal information,
— equipment that contains personal information removed from secure areas,
— Tenderer Note: Where a Tenderer uses a commercial encryption product that is equivalent to FIPS 140-2 then the Tenderer should declare this and identify the product used,
— The successful Tenderer must ensure that all possible security controls have been deployed to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of personal information on mobile computing (laptops, notebooks, voice recording equipment, palmtops, smart phones, and personal digital assistants) used outside of a secure area,
— The successful Tenderer must ensure that access to personal information is restricted to authorised personnel with a ‘need to know’,
— The successful Tenderer must ensure that only Tenderer approved equipment or environments that have been locked down, protected by enforcing all the security requirements and approved for teleworking are used for any teleworking,
— The successful Tenderer must ensure that all test data that contains personal information is protected to the same level as operational data, unless it has been fully sanitised,
— The successful Tenderer must ensure that only authorised personnel are granted access to personal information based on a “need to know” basis,
— The successful Tenderer must ensure that any equipment used for the provision of the Services containing personal information shall only be disposed of or reused is it has been securely wiped beforehand,
— The successful Tenderer must ensure that where the data cannot be securely wiped, the storage media concerned is destroyed,
— The successful Tenderer must ensure that all printed material containing personal information is destroyed in a cross cut shredder,
— The successful Tenderer must have the ability to store, process and transmit all personal data, both live and archived within the United Kingdom,
— The successful Tenderer must deploy a protective monitoring system to capture and securely log all security events for audit purposes with the capability to trigger and generate near real time alerts for severe security incidents,
— The successful Tenderer must ensure that all secure areas in all locations used for storing, processing or transmitting personal data have suitable entry controls and are appropriate for protecting personal data,
— The successful Tenderer must ensure that all development or test and operational facilities used for working on or with the information, systems or locations shall be separated by an air gap, physical where feasible or logical elsewhere.
