Provision of a Supported Living Service

Description of the goods or services required

The Council is seeking a Provider who will provide a Supported Living Service. The Service will be provided for adults ages 18 plus, with a learning disability or mental health issues. Service Users residing within the Service will have a variety of support and health needs, such as learning disability, epilepsy, autistic spectrum disorder, mental health issues, physical disability and mobility issues. Additionally they may also have communication issues, and may exhibit challenging behaviour.

The Service will be required 24 hours per day, 365 days per year and will be provided within Currie Court, Ardrossan. The Council will own the unit and the Provider will provide the Service.

The Service will be provided in an adapted unit, comprising of 13 individual 1 bedroom tenancies, one of which has been adapted to provide accommodation for a Service User with physical disabilities. The individual tenancies will be Scottish Secured Tenancies, and will be provided on an unfurnished basis with only “white goods” being provided. Service Users will be expected to furnish their own tenancies.
