- The London Borough of Bromley (“the Council”) is inviting tenders for the provision of Advocacy Services for:
– Older People
– Adults with Learning and/or Physical Disabilities
The following services are NOT included in the scope of this Advocacy Services for Adults in Bromley tender:
• Mental Health Advocacy
• Advocacy for children
Advocacy services in Bromley are currently provided by 2 different organisations. This Tender aims to bring the Advocacy services for all service users under one Contract.
Service users referred to the Service will have been assessed as being eligible to receive support services from the Council and will include service users who lack capacity and need advocacy support but are not eligible for IMCA
(Independent Mental Capacity Advocate) services.
The aim of the Service is to improve the lives of people in need of support to express their views and maximise choice and control over decisions affecting their lives, as well as increasing social inclusion and equality. The Service will need to be flexible to respond to changing needs of the service users.
Currently in Bromley, older people and learning disability advocacy services combined total approximately 1930 hours per annum. It is envisioned that under this new contract the Adult Advocacy service levels of service will be broadly
The Tender Documents and Service Specification do not attempt to provide a precise definition of all aspects of the Service but it is expected that the
Service will be appropriate to the needs of the individual service user.
