Scotia Gas Networks plc (SGN), Scottish and Southern Energy plc (SSE) and SSE Renewables (SSER) requires a competent aerial surveillance contractor to undertake a frequent aerial survey programme of buried gas pipelines, Overhead Lines and Transportation of Personnel and Load Lifting. The contract will be divided into three specific Packages covering specific geographic lots:
Package 1 — SGN:
— Scotland Gas Networks;
— Southern Gas Networks;
— Northern Ireland;
Package 2 — SSE:
— SSE Scotland;
Package 3 — SSER:
— Offshore Windfarms;
Contractors will be able to bid for one or any combination of Packages.
The purpose of the survey is primarily to ensure that the pipelines/Overhead Lines etc are not subject to third party interference damage. The contractor is required to supply a fully managed service including the provision of suitable helicopters, experienced crew and specialist computer/imaging systems.
The contracts will be awarded on a five year basis with an extension option of an additional two years.
This AQ is specifically for Expression of Interest only.
Interested Parties shall be sent a Pre Qualification Questionnaire which must be completed in full. A full evaluation will be undertaken to determine a shortlist of Suppliers who will be invited to tender for this Contract.
