The contract will involve the provision of a bus service operating within the Basingstoke town area. The route will run in both directions between the leisure park, railway station and Basing View business area. The contractor will provide all vehicles. The contractor will receive a fixed fee (subject to the additon of an incentivised payment for increasing patronage), with fare revenue being returned to the Authority. The service will operate for a period of five years, with an option to extend this period by a further two years.
