Description of the contract

Government Digital Service launched GOV.UK in October 2012 replacing the existing DirectGov and BusinessLink websites. Corporate information for all central government departments has now been migrated to GOV.UK. GOV.UK is the best place to find UK Government services and information. Government Digital Service requires a CDN (Content Delivery Network) for the GOV.UK website to serve content to end-users with high availability and high performance and mitigate certain security concerns. The GOV.UK website is operated by the Infrastructure Team within the Government Digital Service. The Infrastructure Team will be responsible for migrating the GOV.UK website from the incumbent Content Delivery Network to a new supplier. The GDS Infrastructure Team will manage the relationship with the CDN supplier. Please see attached document for full description

If you have not yet registered on the eSourcing Suite, this can be done online at https://gpsesourcing.cabinetoffice.gov.uk by following the link ‘Register for GPS eSourcing’. Please note that, to register, you must have a valid DUNS number (as provided by Dun and Bradstreet) for the organisation which you are registering, who will be entering into a contract if invited to do so at the Invitation to Tender stage.
