Gloucestershire Police Authority (GPA) is seeking to enter into a contract that will provide a Corporate GIS solution. This will support GPA in the delivery of its Policing Plan that aims to keep people safe from harm and to inspire the highest levels of public confidence in us, the local police.
The Corporate GIS will enable effective analysis, management and dissemination of spatial data through the provision of targeted applications including crime analysis. The solution will interface effectively with the Constabulary’s Command & Control system and provide extensive GIS functionality across the force.

The GPA is looking to replace the various mapping systems used within the organisation with a centralised, corporate GIS, with disaster recovery from a second location. The GIS will comprise a number of interfaces aimed at specific departments, (e.g. interface to Steria Storm for CMD, crime analysis functionality) and provide a future-proof basis to allow the Constabulary to react to new initiatives, organisational requirements and technological developments. Further requirements are outlined in the Technical Questions section of this document.
