County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust currently have three small education/training centres on each site which house clinical training areas, lecture theatres and breakout rooms.
The Trust is seeking to secure a contract with an AGENT who will source external venues/providers, who will support and host larger and more prestigious events, which cannot be supported within the current facilities on the hospital sites.
The facilities should be located centrally in County Durham, located within a 10/15 mile radius inbetween University Hospital of North Durham (Durham City) and Darlington Memorial Hospital (Darlington) and access to the A1. However there may also be requests to host events further a field in the North East or nationally, as the Trust also hosts some services which require national venues.
The contract is for a 24 month period with the option to extend for a further 12 months.
This contract may also be utilised buy organisations aligned to County Durham Procuremetn Consortium.
