The requirement includes HGV chassis / tractor units for 18 tonne jetter / vacuum tankers, 26 tonne vacuum tankers, 32 tonne vacuum tankers and 44 tonne tractor / trailer vacuum tankers.
Two separate tender processes will place framework agreements for HGV Chassis and Tankers. There will need to be collaboration between suppliers to ensure that the completed vehicle meets the full specification. Such collaboration is common in the construction of this type of vehicle as each supplier takes responsibility for their own supply / construction and the demarcation is well defined.
DCC intends to award a framework for an initial period of 3 years with an option to extend up to a further 12 months.
