Culham Centre for Fusion Energy (CCFE) requires routine and occupational health treatment and advice services.
Culham Centre for Fusion Energy (CCFE) is the fusion arm of the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority. CCFE conducts leading science research mainly in the field of nuclear research. This includes working with specific routine and radiological hazards. The on site occupational health services required are routine medical surveillance to meet statutory and non- statutory requirements; face to face medical reviews; delivery of specific medical services such as vaccinations; cause drug and substance abuse testing; wellbeing clinics; provision of general guidance on occupational health and on site senior management support. Off site services required are the provision of advice to managers and the HR department on occupational health issues; pre-employment vetting of Declaration of Health forms; administration and record keeping including booking of appointments; provision of specialist services such as physiotherapy and off site support by senior management. Companies should note that there are mandatory requirements to be met for them to be considered. Further details are given within the tender but an overview is provided below. The company must have or be working towards Cyber Essentials Certification (to cover govt data protection rules); must have the appropriate medical qualifications and experience; must be able to demonstrate experience of beryllium and radiological support and must be able to provide evidence of the required insurance.
