VI.3)Additional information

(a) Selection of those economic operators to be selected to tender will be done using a Business Questionnaire (BQ) which should be completed and submitted to the contact point in I.1 above by 8th July 2013.
The BQ is obtainable from the contact point in 1.1. above. The completed and submitted BQs will be assessed as set out in the BQ and the economic operators selected to tender will be chosen as described in the BQ.
(b) The Council intends to award the contract to provide the services in Lot 1 to a single contractor, the highest scoring tenderer in Lot 1, for a period of four years from 1st February 2014. In the event that a contract to provide the services in Lot 1 ends prematurely or the services required exceed the capacity of the contractor appointed to provide the services in Lot 1, the second highest scoring tenderer will be appointed. This second contract will therefore not come into operation until the first contract ends or the services required by the Council exceed the capacity of the appointed contractor. The estimated contract value for lot 1 is approximately £1million over 4 years.
(c) In lots 2, 3, 4 and 5 mini-competitions will be carried out as and when required to award call-off contracts in any of the four lots. The Council has absolute discretion as to the number of orders (if any) that are issued. The Council can not guarantee the value of the purchases (if any) over the term of the framework.
