The purpose of this Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to advise interested professional service providers that Magnox Ltd, on behalf of Magnox and other Nuclear Site Licence Companies, will be carrying out a tender exercise for the provision of Specialist Nuclear Services (SNS). Magnox welcome interested parties to attend an industry day to share information concerning the opportunity. The purpose of the Industry day will be to give an overview of the project and the current strategy with regard to scoping, lotting and pricing. Please express an interest to ann.paterson@magnoxsites.com by 25.6.2013 to enable confirmation of the details concerning the industry day arrangements to be completed and advised.

Safety case services and specialist nuclear services may include the following:
– Safety Case Author;
– Design & Review;
– Contaminated Land Studies;
– HAZOPS, HAZANS;
– Option Studies Chemistry/Physics;
– Risk Assessments;
– Waste Advice;
– Cementation Studies Land Characterisation.
Other participating entities may include:
– Sellafield Ltd;
– Research Sites Restoration Ltd;
– Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd;
– LLW Repository Ltd;
– Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA);
– NDA Radioactive Waste Management Directorate;

Locations of work will be the locations of the above participating entity sites.
