II.1.5)Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

To provide outdoor residential experience to both primary and secondary pupil from East Renfrewshire Council, practice residential experience for music and arts and study support weekends to pupils studying for their National Qualifications at Higher Grade.
This contract will be awarded on a framework basis to 3 providers per Lot who have demonstrated through the evaluation process that they are able to fulfil all requirement of the service. The tender is spilt into two Lots and tenderers can either apply for one of both.
Lot 1 – study and practical weekends.
Lot 2 – residential courses.
Contract term is for an initial period of 36 months with the option to extend for a further 12 months.

All weekends focus on education and person/social development with the children participating in activities such as canoeing, absailing etc and also team building exercises. The actives take place during the day with the learning aspect being taught during the day or in the early evening.
