FOR THE PROVISION OF WORK OPPORTUNITIES FOR ADULTS WITH MENTAL HEALTH NEEDS
Following on from a recent market assessment, Enfield Council is seeking to tender its externally purchased work placement services (currently known as work-skills and training/education and employment support) for adults with mental health needs.
An experienced and capable organisation is sought to directly offer work placements and support for adults with mental health needs that receive support through the Care Programme Approach (CPA). The service will also need to combine an outcome focussed on and off-the-job training and support, helping people towards achieving life-long learning, long-term employment and social inclusion.
The service provider is also expected to be able to demonstrate how it can develop into a service that service users can purchase through the use of a self directed support/individual budget option.
Prospective bidders MUST therefore demonstrate their experience and ability to offer work placements for this group of people within their own business (and outside of their business only when it is deemed necessary).
The Council is of the opinion that TUPE may apply to this tender.
It is envisaged that the contract will commence from October 2012 and will run for a period of two years with an option to extend for a further one year, subject to satisfactory performance.
Expressions of interest are therefore sought from interested organisations, including joint application or consortia.
Organisations wishing to bid for this service should complete the online pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) posted on the London Tender Portal at www.londontenders.org.
Closing date for returning the PQQ is 5pm on 25th April 2012.
