London Borough of Hackney is seeking an on premises solution for its public website and intranet that can be hosted within its existing Data Centre. The Council requires the following:
— Design, development and consultancy services for the implementation of the new platform.
— Sufficient software licences to operate the Web Content Management System on its public web site and intranet (if software is not open source).
— Ongoing software licence arrangements for a five year period. If possible the Council would prefer for the licence to be in perpetuity, rather than paying annual renewal fees.
— Provision of skilled and experienced staff able to provide support for the WCMS and assist with the speedy resolution of software and configuration issues that affect web site availability.
— Provision of training for internal ICT resource in the configuration and development of the new platform.
— Web 2.0 functionality including wikis, blogs, forums, comments and calendars.
Hardware and hosting will be procured through an existing framework agreement and will not be included within the scope of this tender.
The proposed contract duration is for 5 years.
