Description of the contract

The DfE requires a writer with extensive and proven expertise in children’s social care qualifications to; • Write a new qualification to replace the Level 3 Children’s Workforce Diploma (social care pathway). • Revise the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services. • Work with awarding organisations (formerly known as awarding bodies) to ensure the revised qualifications are accepted onto the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). The role The writer must have expertise and experience in writing children’s social care competence based qualifications for the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). They must also have experience of and capacity to work collaboratively with awarding organisations and stakeholders in the children’s social care sector to inform the development of the qualifications. The writer will be required to work flexibly in a contract which will commence in March 2014 and will complete before March 2015.
