Description of the contract

Southampton City Council is seeking to award a contract to a suitably qualified and experienced service provider to address quality in NHS Health Checks. The Quality Support should offer practical support to front line teams to implement the NHS Health Check QA framework by: • Ensuring new staff are seen as soon as possible and given training to enable them to start delivering NHS Health Checks in their practice. • Identifying the training needs of the Southampton City practitioners delivering the NHS Health Checks. • Arranging/delivering appropriate group NHS Health Check training for Practice Nurses and Healthcare Assistants in Southampton City. • Visiting practices who have been identified by the NHS Health Checks Commissioning Lead as requiring audit and to assist in that audit process using the NHS Health Check QA framework • Helping practices to meet the required standard by appropriately training or guiding the staff.
