The Contracting Authority is looking for the services of a suitably experienced organisation to manage the daily utilisation of the heavy load out quay and supporting areas of land at the former Swan Hunter shipyard. Any successful organisation will have demonstrated a successful and safe track record of undertaking such activity in the interests of stimulating local economic growth, investment and regeneration.

Any contract would be for a minimum of 5 years and it is anticipated the service would be self financed by any successful operator with a management fee being payable to the Contracting Authority. It is also anticpated that an estimated income would be in the region of 300,000 GBP per annum.

Description of particular conditions: Under this project the successful bidder will be required to actively participate in the achievement of community well being and positive outcomes. The successful bidder will also be required to actively participate in the achievement of social an economic growth and environmental and sustainable policy objectives which promote the Borough of North Tyneside and any adjacent areas.
