Bed Based reablement is a service that provides an opportunity for adults and older people to have a short term stay in a residential or nursing home setting following a period in hospital.
The aim of Bed Based Reablement is to provide timely and intensive support and therapy to people to restore their physical health, maximise their independence and improve their well being before they return to live at home.

Hampshire County Council intends to commission a total of 36 Reablement Beds across the county (as detailed in the Service Specification).
Contracts of a duration of up to 2 years with an optional extension for up to a further 2 years, will be awarded to successful tenderers. The maximum budget available for the tendered services is GBP 4,505,142.86. for a total period of 4 years. Anticipated contract commencement will be 1.10.2013.
