II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:

Th LB Newham wishes to appoint a Real Estate Property Advisor to restructure and advise on the management of a circa GBP 87 000 000 real estate portfolio in connection with it’s Local Government Pension Scheme. The advisor will advise on:
a) A review of the existing portfolio and where necessary to reduce or increase exposure to the asset class as directed by the LGPS.
B) To consolidate the exposure of the asset class in order to suit the key criteria of the LGPS in terms of risk and return.
C) To advise on the operational aspects of managing the portfolio. This will involve liaison with the LGPS on capital call, distributions and any active management activity associated with managing the portfolio.
D) If required, and especially where it is an expanded allocation, to support officers on fund searches, drafting ITT specifications,contracts and possible particapation in tender selection panels.
E) To monitor existing portfolio on a continual basis and report back to the LGPS on a quarterly basis.
F) To liaise as appropriate with the Custodian in terms of any reporting on the real estate portfolio.
G) To advise on potential additional allocation to UK real estate to be implemented via unit trust or REITs/listed real estate securities.
H) To establish investment opportunities and forge links with LBN’s inward investment strategy.
The contract will be for a period of 3 years.

Information and formalities necessary for evaluating if the requirements are met: (1) All candidates will be required to produce a certificate or declaration demonstrating that they are not bankrupt or the subject of an administration order, are not being wound-up, have not granted a trust deed, are not the subject of a petition presented for sequestration of their estate, have not had a receiver, manager or administrator appointed and are not otherwise apparently insolvent.
