The group owns and manages more than 32 000 homes from an area spanning North Tyneside to York, making it the largest registered housing provider in the North East, and in the top 25 nationally. It is also one of the ten largest employers in the North East.
Former companies Fabrick and Vela merged to become new parent company Thirteen Housing Group Limited. Their partner landlords, Erimus Housing and Tees Valley Housing, formerly in Fabrick and Housing Hartlepool and Tristar Homes, formerly in Vela, remain separate organisations in their own right but are part of the larger group. Thirteen offers strategic direction and drives the vision for the partnership, overseeing the partner organisations in the group.
As part of the move, Thirteen Care and Support was created, a new housing support arm, bringing together the services of the supported housing team of Tees Valley and Norcare, a former Tyneside based charity.
The move means expertise; resources and costs can be shared, achieving savings without reducing services and allowing the landlords to focus on the needs of their tenants and neighbourhoods.

The Thirteen Housing Group is seeking suitably experienced and qualified individuals or organisations to provide valuation services as part of a framework for sale and rental valuations of residential and commercial stock and land of the companies within the Thirteen Housing Group.
The contract will be for 2 years with option to extend for a further 2 x 12 months.
The framework is split into multiple lots. Tenderers may bid for more than one lot and in lots where there are two parts the combined costs of items 1 and 2 will be considered during the scoring of this lot as the Client may require multiple reports throughout the life-cycle of a development or property sale.
Each lot will have a preferred contractor and all work will be given to this contractor, we will also have an approved contractor to sit under the contractor for instances when the preferred contractor cannot do the required work for whatever reason or where there might be a conflict of interest.
