Bath & North East Somerset Council (B&NES) is working in partnership with Bristol City Council (BCC) to appoint a Producer Compliance Scheme (PCS) to collect and recycle Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment (WEEE) from its Designated Collection Facilities (DCFs).
The Councils are seeking to award a joint Contract to a PCS able to collect and recycle WEEE from their five Recycling Centres and two Transfer Station depots. The Contract will commence on 14 January 2013 and continue for an initial term of 1 year, with an option to extend the Contract for a further 1 year. This Specification details the Services to be provided by the Contractor.

BCC are planning to build a third Recycling Centre in the southern Bristol which is currently expected to be registered as a DCF and fully operational in 2014. The appointed PCS would therefore be expected to offer the same services to this new DCF when necessary.
