The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council (‘the council’) is seeking a suitably experienced contractor(s)
with appropriate facilities to enter into arrangements to undertake the recycling of:
1. Mixed Cardboard and tetra Pak materials arising from the councils Household Waste Sites;
2. Glass, Cans and plastic Bottles from the Councils kerbside collection service.
It is anticipated that the arrangements will come into place in September 2013 and will be for an initial 3 year period with the option to extend for a further two one year periods subject to the council still having need for the service and contractor performance. The income from the sale of the recyclable materials to the Authority over the life of the contract is estimated at 265 000 GBP.
All values given are for the initial period only and are indicative only as the councils can not guarantee future levels of activity.
