Description of the contract

The Commission has proposed a new Rural Development Regulation to meet three cross?cutting objectives of innovation, environment and climate change mitigation and adaptation. Underpinning this are six priorities covering a wide range of areas for rural development. The draft rural development regulation 2011/0282, is available at; http://ec.europa.eu/agriculture/cap?post?2013/legal?proposals/com627/627_en.pdf The Department for the Environment Food and Rural Affairs, supported by funding from the Rural Development Programme, wish to commission a review of the evidence relating to two of these four Axes, Axis 1 and 3.
